So unfortunately my holiday is over, me and my best one has such an amazing time, it all seems like a very distant memory now. Speaking of memories there are so many amazing memories captured on video, watching them back makes me howl!
I weighed myself the day I came back (Sunday) and I was 9lbs heavier than when I went, weighed myself again Tuesday and I'd dropped 6lbs of that. So as far as I'm aware I'm weighing roughly 168lbs at the minute, my goal weight is to get to 145lbs meaning I need to lose 23lbs to get to my target. After going on holiday and having the downtime and enjoying myself I feel a lot more determined and motivated to hit my goals, before I left I felt I was stuck in a bit of a rut with dieting especially after coming off of prep I was struggling to stick to anything. The time off diet and training has certainly done me a world of good.
I'm not too sure how long i'm giving myself to lose the weight, I'd love it to be around 12 weeks however I'm going to give myself until my birthday which is 3rd October. Now some may ask why i'm wanting to lose weight when i'm not actually doing a comp? My reasoning is because I'm a lot happier when I have less body fat, I feel better in my clothes, look healthier and feel a lot more confident. No i'm not doing a contest prep, I won't be dropping to stupidly low calories or doing excessive cardio or no carbs.... I'm happy to lose the weight steadily so that I still love what I am doing and at the same time still get to enjoy the odd night out or cheat meal. It's all about balance.
I've eaten clean all week, no calorie counting or weighing food but after the weekend I'll get myself on a stricter plan and see what I can achieve. It'll be my own little transformation!
I'll be keeping you all updated on my progress as the weeks go on, pictures & all :)
